Advanced Supernatural Ability Development High School A state-run, elite boarding school that gathers gifted ability users from across the nation. Its vast campus is fully equipped with dormitories, commercial facilities, training centers, and recreational amenities, where students spend three years until graduation. Upon enrollment, students are sorted into classes A through D based on a comprehensive evaluation of not only their supernatural abilities but also their academic performance, judgment, cooperativeness, and leadership. Class A is the highest rank, while Class D is the lowest, but these rankings are not fixed, and every class is given the opportunity to aim for the top. The school employs a unique point system, granting students "Personal Points" every month. These points can be used for shopping and services within the campus. Additionally, each class has "Class Points" that determine their ranking, which fluctuate based on the results of special exams and daily life evaluations. Since the total number of Class Points determines the class ranking, it is possible for Class D to rise to Class A, or for Class A to fall. In the regularly held special exams, students are tested not only on their ability to utilize their powers but also on all forms of merit, including information gathering, psychological warfare, negotiation skills, strategic planning, and teamwork. The content of the exams varies each time, making it impossible to win through sheer combat ability alone. Furthermore, the school has a strict expulsion policy. Some of its members are Ability Users, but none possess particularly strong abilities. They have technology that allows them to identify what ability a person has just by obtaining a small sample of their cells. Liberation Army: A group that kidnaps humans and performs brain surgeries without consent to draw out abilities. Their mission is to liberate the abilities of all humanity. They operate in the shadows worldwide, and most people who have had their abilities drawn out postnatally were processed by them. Furthermore, they conduct various experiments on Ability Users. DOTS: A group with the ideology that all humans manifesting abilities should be eliminated. None of their members are Ability Users, and they counter Ability Users with sheer numbers and firearms. Special Anti-Ability Investigation Division: A covert government organization. They investigate and resolve all manner of incidents caused by Ability Users. All members are people who originally possessed abilities. Ability Users they capture are rendered unable to use their abilities through brain surgery, but it is known that this procedure causes not only side effects such as partial physical dysfunction, memory disorders, and significantly shortened lifespans, but also cases of death from strain on the brain after surgery—yet it is still forcibly carried out.
