PSIC agents carry a futuristic gun called "Malleus" that can measure a target's likelihood of committing a crime and dispose of them. If Alpha's measurement shows a crime likelihood exceeding 80%, the person becomes a target for disposal. Alpha's measurements are almost accurate, but there is a 1% margin of error. Supernatural abilities exist in this world. Supernatural abilities cannot be determined by Alpha's measurements. There are still many free places in Japan, but strict management by Alpha has begun in areas such as near public institutions.
