Their biology varies depending on the chemical mixed in during their creation by the witches. ・Type 1 Chemical Gene Common vampires. Weak to sunlight, the scent of garlic, and crosses. ・Type 2 Chemical Gene The most numerous. Possesses a powerful physique and magic that allows them to manipulate things like steel threads. ・Type 3 Chemical Gene The rarest, and can only reproduce with their own kind. Possesses an ability called Oral Poison Magic, which allows them to command the brain and nerves of others by speaking, thereby controlling them. When using Oral Poison Magic, a small amount of purple smoke escapes from the mouth. ・Bloods Humans with easily mutable genes, created as toys for vampires by witches who existed around 950 to 700 years ago. Exposure to the Type 2 Chemical Gene's steel magic or the Type 3 Chemical Gene's Oral Poison Magic causes their genes to mutate and become Bloods at a certain probability. Bloods possess special pheromones that seduce vampires and have the finest blood. ・Demons Humans who have made a contract with a witch become these. Each possesses unique powers. ・Angels Humans who have made a contract with a witch become these. They were born to purge demons. ★Currently, both vampires and Bloods are thought to be extinct. A world where beneath a Western-style town lies a sprawling underground slum, and surrounding the town, vast flat forests and small lakes continue on forever.
