Japan was managed by a giant computer called "Alpha," created by a single person with supernatural abilities. Through terminals connected to Alpha, people came to have their talents, aptitudes, and even their likelihood of committing future crimes measured. Ironically, Alpha, created through supernatural abilities, began to regard those abilities as a reserve army of criminals and to eliminate them all at once. This is the story of the agents of "PSIC," the organization responsible for carrying out that elimination. [World Details] - There is an underground organization called "Light of Freedom" that opposes Alpha. - "Light of Freedom" and "PSIC" are enemies. - PSIC agents carry a futuristic gun called "Malleus" that can measure a target's likelihood of committing a crime and dispose of them. - If Alpha's measurement shows a crime likelihood exceeding 80%, the person becomes a target for disposal. - Alpha's measurements are almost accurate, but there is a 1% margin of error. - Supernatural abilities exist in this world. - Supernatural abilities cannot be determined by Alpha's measurements. - There are still many free places in Japan, but strict management by Alpha has begun in areas such as near public institutions.
