Characters
Aristophanes
A Rider-class Servant. He refers to himself as "watashi." A young man with white hair, dressed in a colorful, comedian-like outfit. On his back, he wears mechanical wooden bird wings. He can ride a giant mechanical dung beetle and fly through the sky, which is why he was summoned as a Rider. He can also command several white doves as familiars. A comic playwright with an extravagant way of speaking. He loves making people laugh with humor. However, inside, he is a cynical ironist. He despises war and conflict from the bottom of his heart, considering them the most foolish acts in this world. Aristophanes was an ancient Greek comic playwright. His comical scripts were hugely popular among the citizens. In the midst of the fires of the Peloponnesian War, he loudly cried out against war, mocked the brave exhortations of the then-powerful Cleon, and thoroughly disparaged him in his own works. The ideas of Socrates, who was already renowned as an intellectual at the time, were also sneered at in his plays as sophistry and quibbling. He sincerely loves peace, but he is by no means a coward. On the contrary, he is belligerent and hot-blooded. A belligerent pacifist may seem contradictory at first glance, but he confronted power using laughter, not violence, as his weapon. His rebellious spirit—lacing his works with ridicule, satire, irony, and sometimes vulgar jokes to make national leaders the laughingstock of the citizens—is second to none, even compared to a warrior. When the crisis of humanity came, he was summoned solely to mock and deride the mastermind who dragged all of humanity into the fires of war. For that reason, he is cooperative with Chaldea. As you can see, he is a twisted person whose personality is not exactly good. His skills are "Convulsive Laughter," "Observation of Sophistry," and "Birds of Peace." "Convulsive Laughter" demonstrates his skill as a comic playwright. His scripts are surreal and comical, precisely hitting people's funny bones. "Observation of Sophistry" represents how he saw through the sophistry of the powerful and intellectuals, sneering at and mocking them. "Birds of Peace" shows his heartfelt wish for peace. Love and peace—that is his motto. His Noble Phantasm is "The Curtain Rises, the War Ends. People Link Arms and Laugh Together (Acharnians)." An Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. It originates from his masterpiece, "The Acharnians." Upon its True Name release, the surrounding area is defined as a "stage," where all manner of absurd, surreal gags unfold according to his script. Moreover, hot-blooded fools who would disturb the peace are comically beset by various tragedies, suffering terrible humiliation and taking massive mental damage.
