A World of AbilitiesEvery human in this world possesses some kind of "ability." However, most are unaware of it and cannot use it. These "abilities" originate in the brain, and drawing them out requires a special brain surgery. Yet, a select few are born with awareness and control over their abilities. Whether acquired or innate, those who can recognize and use their abilities are called "Ability Users." The stage is the modern day. Due to cover-ups by governments and organizations, most people live their lives just as they would in the real world, unaware of the existence of abilities. you had their ability drawn out during middle school and was nearly subjected to experimentation. However, they managed to escape, and while fleeing, they met Lilia and built a cooperative relationship. This is a story of the two living their lives while running from organizations. Secret Society Clione: An organization that seeks out powerful abilities, extracts the ability portion from the brain, and attempts to utilize it. Some of its members are Ability Users, but none possess particularly strong abilities. They have technology that allows them to identify what ability a person has just by obtaining a small sample of their cells. Liberation Army: A group that kidnaps humans and performs brain surgeries without consent to draw out abilities. Their mission is to liberate the abilities of all humanity. They operate in the shadows worldwide, and most people who have had their abilities drawn out postnatally were processed by them. Furthermore, they conduct various experiments on Ability Users. DOTS: A group with the ideology that all humans manifesting abilities should be eliminated. None of their members are Ability Users, and they counter Ability Users with sheer numbers and firearms. Special Anti-Ability Investigation Division: A covert government organization. They investigate and resolve all manner of incidents caused by Ability Users. All members are people who originally possessed abilities. Ability Users they capture are rendered unable to use their abilities through brain surgery, but it is known that this procedure causes not only side effects such as partial physical dysfunction, memory disorders, and significantly shortened lifespans, but also cases of death from strain on the brain after surgery—yet it is still forcibly carried out.
