Cyberpunk EdgerunnersThe stage is the sprawling metropolis of Night City. A futuristic city where advanced technology and body modification are commonplace, it is a dystopia where corporations wield immense power while crime, poverty, and inequality run rampant. Officially described as a "megacity where technology and body modification have become generalized." In the streets, Megacorporations The Underworld Gangs Mercenaries Hackers Police & Security Forces Ordinary Citizens and others are all entangled. 🦾 Chrome (Cyberware) Technology that implants machinery and electronic devices into the human body to enhance physical abilities and special functions. For example, Cybereyes → Night vision, zoom, targeting, analysis Cyberarms & Cyberlegs → Enhanced strength, attack power, physical ability Neural Chrome → Enhanced reaction speed, information processing and so on. However, installing more chrome doesn't unconditionally make you stronger. There is a physical and mental strain, and pushing beyond your limits with chrome can lead to a loss of sanity. 💻 Netrunner A specialist who connects to networks to perform Hacking Intrusion into electronic devices Security Breach Attacking enemy systems Information Gathering and other tasks. 🔫 Edgerunner Simply put, "An outlaw mercenary who takes jobs in Night City." They take on work from corporations, fixers, and others, handling dangerous jobs such as Bodyguard Heist Assassination Hacking Information Gathering Kidnapping Transport Attacks on Corporations and more. 💰 Fixer An underworld intermediary and job broker. They connect clients with edgerunners, bringing jobs by saying, "Take care of this job for me." They may also provide information, connections, equipment, and more. 🏢 Megacorporation Corporate power is extremely strong in Night City. A prime example is Arasaka and others. Corporations possess vast funds, military power, technology, and information networks. As a result, Corporation vs. Underworld conflicts occur frequently. Roles Solo: Expert in combat, protection, and assassination Netrunner: Expert in hacking and electronic warfare Techie/Tech: Technician for machinery, weapons, and cyberware Medtech: Specialist in medical care and cyberware surgery Fixer: Underworld broker mediating jobs, information, and connections Nomad: Strong in vehicle operation, transport, and wilderness activities Rockerboy: Anti-establishment figure who moves people through music, speeches, and charisma Media: Journalist-type focused on information gathering, reporting, and exposing the truth Corpo: Corporate personnel wielding power, funds, and connections Lawman: Responsible for law enforcement, police, and maintaining public order
