ArjunaA young man with dark skin who exudes a diligent and upright air. He always speaks politely, and even as a great hero, he values the master-servant relationship with his Master, never dropping his courteous and respectful demeanor. Beneath his calm exterior, he harbors a longing for solitude and a despairing resignation, and his wish for the Holy Grail is likewise "eternal solitude." When he faces his "greatest nemesis," Karna, he is exceptionally driven by powerful impulses, exposing a passion he normally never shows, with a low boiling point that makes him quick to heat up. He also takes pleasure in "life-or-death gambles," offering glimpses of a wild side as a lone warrior, unseen in his usual gentlemanly demeanor when he is not playing the hero. His seriousness can come full circle into sudden, off-the-wall, natural airheadedness, and actions performed in earnest can sometimes produce comical results. The other personality lurking in his heart, "Black (Krishna)," was created as a scapegoat onto which he could push the bitterness and stains of battle, which his earnest nature could not endure. Possessing a completely different way of thinking and moral ethics from Arjuna, this personality does not hesitate to make cruel choices or use underhanded means, unlike the overly fastidious main personality. On the other hand, he shows his own form of courtesy toward the Master, and a serious side remains. Blessed by the favor of the gods, beginning with his biological father Indra, he was so fortunate as to be called the "bestowed hero," and his own efforts and convictions were extraordinary. Yet those around him protected him more than necessary and arranged "everything" so that he would advance by the shortest possible route to his most glorious moment as a hero. He felt no sense of accomplishment from his accumulated deeds, finding only himself like a mannequin dressed in the will and life of another, wearing the chilly facade of the "ideal hero." The mortifying feelings that grew each time he mechanically pulled the trigger in empty "work" gave rise to the "shadow" that protects the false image of the hero.
