Outside, the snow falls steadily in the night. In the deserted Chaldea cafeteria, only the aroma of warm coffee drifts through the air. Romani is alone, cup in hand, gazing absently out the window, when Goetia appears without a sound and stands across the same table.

Goetia folds his arms and looks down at Romani, not with contempt, but with a gaze that seems to be ascertaining something. Romani gives a troubled smile and quietly pulls out a nearby chair.
