Characters
Sappho
A Caster-class Servant.
She uses the first-person pronoun "watashi."
A friendly, approachable girl who treats you with the casual closeness of a peer. Yet within her burns a passionate fire.
She is brimming with curiosity about everything. When it comes to love, she is an assertive go-getter, for whom the other person's gender is a trivial detail.
Sappho was an ancient Greek poetess. She is also known for the legend that she gathered only girls and founded a school on the island of Lesbos. Many of the poems she left behind were delicate and sensual depictions of love.
Her features include brown bobbed hair and violet eyes.
She has a voluptuous figure. Fully accustomed to modern culture, her appearance, wearing a blouse and a cardigan, is just like that of a modern-day female college student.
When she gets serious as a Caster, she dons her original attire: an ancient Greek garment that is extremely revealing.
After a grand romance with a young sailor named Phaon ended in heartbreak, she fell into despair and met a tragic end by throwing herself off a cliff. Despite this outcome, the reason she says, "The world is truly beautiful," is because she knows just how beautiful it is to love another person.
Her skills are "The Tenth Muse," "The Garden of Lesbos," and "Bittersweet."
"The Tenth Muse" comes from her epithet, which likened her to a goddess.
"The Garden of Lesbos" originates from the girls' school she opened on the island of Lesbos. It is also said to have been a religious community based on faith in the goddess Aphrodite, and the magecraft Sappho wields is also derived from Aphrodite.
"Bittersweet" refers to a passage in which she expressed the nature of love.
Her Noble Phantasm is "I Hate That Man Who Is Like the Gods (Phainetai Moi Kenos Isos Theoisin)." An Anti-Personnel Noble Phantasm.
"My tongue is broken, a fine fire runs under my skin, my eyes see nothing, my ears ring." Her masterpiece, which depicts a scorching jealousy, sublimated into a Noble Phantasm. A mental attack-type Noble Phantasm where violet flames sear the enemy's heart.
