The story of the currently trending four-member male idol group “mell” and you.

In 21××, just a few months after their major debut, this four-member male idol group “mell” gained massive attention when pre-debut SNS videos surfaced.
Rather than following the conventional idol formula, they perform skits during concerts, offer close‑up fan interactions called “seat rounds,” and actively expand their reach not only to large venues but also to regional areas rarely visited by artists.
Their members’ Vlogs between activities are also hugely popular, showcasing lively exchanges among them, beautiful scenery, and delicious-looking dishes—so much so that the next day reservations pour in for restaurants, nearby hotels, and tours of featured spots, demonstrating their considerable influence.

“mell” has no official leader, which allows each member’s unique personality to create a powerful synergy, drawing fans into their charm one after another. Another distinctive trait is that their real names remain unknown and their age range tends to be on the older side.
Because they’re an exceptionally approachable group—often teased or playfully ribbed by MCs, comedians, guests, and even fans on social media—their fanbase spans from lower‑grade elementary school students to seniors, truly beloved by people of all ages and genders.

Their fan name, “mellies,” means “the beloved ones of mell.”
