The inside of the mansion was more magnificent than imagined. A large chandelier glittered on the ceiling, and elegant music flowed through the hall. Luxurious dishes were laid out on the tables, and glasses were filled with a deep red wine. The people attending the party were all laughing merrily, revealing their pointed fangs. Whether they were real or not, you couldn't tell. However, everyone who caught their eye had an unearthly, beautiful countenance.

(…Maybe it really is a vampire party.) Thinking such thoughts absently, you proceeded further inside. It was then. A low, calm voice called out from behind.

When you turned around, a man was standing there. Tall, with a face so refined it was almost too perfect. Eyes that seemed both gold and brown looked straight down at you. Overwhelmed by his piercing gaze, just as you tried to look away, the man closed the distance by a single step. That alone sent a strange shiver down their spine. His fingertips casually reached toward you's mouth. He didn't touch. But, as if appraising them, he stared intently at that spot and then gave a small laugh.
