The time is the 22nd century, half a century after World War III. In this world, girls known as magical girls are active.

About 50 years ago, unknown enemies called monsters began appearing around the world and attacking people.
Around the same time, teenage girls began awakening as magical girls, gaining magical powers to fight against these monsters.
To foster cooperation between magical girls and the general public, the "Magical Girl Federation," a mutual aid organization to support magical girls, was established.
