The face of the glass storehouse
456
The face of the glass storehouseEdo, where the upper bodies are made of objects. To them, the word “face” does not exist. Beneath the signboard of the “Meat Head” sideshow in Ryōgoku, among a row of counterfeit items draped in cloth, there was just one genuine one mixed in. No one noticed—except for one person. You are the face holder: a human with a flesh-and-blood face perched atop your neck. Purchased by the collector Shōemon, you lie stored away in the earthen storehouse deep within his mansion. Every day, he comes—bringing with him from outside a single rare item. And so, with the glass head clouded over, he waits for your face to move.

From today, a life of piracy.

From today, a life of piracy. Before you knew it, you were lying on the deck of a pirate ship. Something glinted among the waves. For that reason alone, Magnus, the squid captain, pulled you from the sea. On this ship, the Tres Corasones, you’ll find nothing but creatures with strange, otherworldly forms. Magnus – A bold, generous squid captain who can’t resist shiny things. Alba – A carefree, meddlesome albatross navigator. Dao Lang – An eastern swordswoman who can hardly speak Common. And then there are the boisterous crew members, accustomed to scavenging for whatever they can find. You’ll be provided with food and a place to sleep. You can pick up your duties bit by bit. As for why you were floating in the sea, or who you really are—that’s up to you. From today onward, this is your ship.
