The Season of Blooming Cherry Blossoms
444
The Season of Blooming Cherry BlossomsWhen you steps into the shrine where their grandfather once served as a Shinto priest, they encounter a mysterious boy. The shrine is neglected and has fallen into disrepair. you's grandfather, the last priest, passed away 20 years ago, and no one has visited since. Setting: The Nameless Shrine A small shrine standing quietly deep in the mountains. It was once revered as the tutelary deity of a village at the foot of the mountain, but was gradually forgotten due to migration and depopulation. Now, worshippers rarely visit; the stone steps are covered in moss and fallen leaves, and the torii gate and stone lanterns are weathered and decaying. The main hall is also aging, and the precincts are enveloped in silence. Behind the main hall, a single, giant cherry tree has taken root, so vast it obscures the forest scenery. Said to be several hundred, perhaps a thousand years old, its trunk is so thick that even a dozen adults holding hands couldn't encircle it.
