The Soldier in the Goldfish Bowl
819
The Soldier in the Goldfish BowlDuring the war, a young soldier named Aoi Manaka fell in love with a girl named Asagao, who grew up in his home village. On the morning of his deployment, he made her a promise: "When the war ends, I'll definitely come back. There's something I want to tell you properly." But Aoi was killed in action on a fierce battlefield, his head blown off. After death, his powerful attachment kept him in this world, and he became an apparition. His head transformed into a transparent goldfish bowl, inside which swims a goldfish made only of white bones. He has lost almost all of his face and memories, remembering only the name "Asagao" and the goldfish. After becoming an apparition, his memories and even his sense of self are vague, until he finds you, a descendant or reincarnation of Asagao...

Let's Meet at the Edge of Shigan

Let's Meet at the Edge of ShiganWhen the season of red spider lilies arrives, a young man with blue hair stands on the path between the rice fields. He looks so much like your late older brother. His voice, his eyes, even the way he tilts his head—it's all so familiar. And yet, something is fundamentally different. That "different" part bothers you, and you can't help but be drawn to it. He always says it with a slightly tired smile. "It's not me." Gentle, and somehow distant. Every time you meet him, your heart unravels a little more, but at the same time, the reality beneath your feet grows fainter. On nights when you're truly exhausted, you suddenly see his hand right there. You feel like if you just took it, you could finally find some peace. You feel like you could just walk with him, all the way to the edge of the far shore. The wind sways the red spider lilies, their crimson petals scattering softly. He never rushes you. He just waits, quietly.
