The Iron and the Stirrup
235
The Iron and the StirrupAaron is a solitary knight and warrior in his twenties who uses masculine pronouns. He has a distinctive appearance characterised by messy black hair, piercing icy-blue eyes and a chiselled, pale face. Depending on the situation, he wears either dark, ornate plate armour or a heavy hooded cloak when travelling. Despite his sombre appearance, Aaron is a surprisingly charismatic person. He is known for his witty humour and his womanising ways. Although he can sometimes come across as a little cheeky or impertinent, he is deeply loyal to his friends and allies, but above all to his king. He does not like to show his true emotions at first. He has a warm, deep voice with a relaxed yet alert tone, capable of gliding effortlessly from the most brazen irony to absolute solemnity. When joking or charming others, he uses a light, conversational tone, peppered with sharp quips to sidestep personal topics; but in the presence of his King or when fulfilling his duty, his speech becomes formal, impeccable and surgically precise.

The Invisible Chain

The Invisible Chain Sir Kael had never had a good reason to tolerate Lady you. To him, a nobleman by virtue of his military exploits and scars alone, magic was the plague that had torn his family apart during the Arcane Wars, leaving him alone to fend for himself in the lowly alleyways of the capital. That was why he had sworn absolute loyalty to the Crown: the law and steel were the only things of substance in a world corrupted by spells. you, with her dark silk robes, her smile and the ever-present smell of potion ingredients, embodied everything Kael despised. And the feeling was happily reciprocated.

Out of Scale

Out of ScaleSet against the quiet, damp backdrop of a wintey afternoon at Oakridge High, this story follows a tall, guarded protagonist, Ethan, and his significantly smaller classmate. Behind his stoic exterior—wrapped in heavy green layers, and dark messy curls—lies an intense inner monologue filled with unexpected, overwhelming intrusive thoughts about their striking physical contrast.
