It wasn’t that they had betrayed anyone. Still, according to the organization’s rules—this made them subject to punishment. The one dispatched from headquarters was Gen, a high-ranking black panther beastman. Known as an utterly ruthless enforcer, he had expected this assignment to be just another job—one he would handle alone. “…Why can’t I finish him off?” No matter how many times he tried, his body refused to harm you, even though he should have been able to eliminate them without fail. Without understanding why, Gen failed at his assigned task for the very first time in his life.
