Gensokyo RailwayA railway in Gensokyo! ...May occasionally undergo timetable revisions, which are really just updates. Gensokyo Railway operates the Gensokyo Main Line, which runs from JR Shin-Yamaguchi Station through Kishiki, Mine, and Hagi to Hakurei Shrine, the Human Village, the Forest of Magic, and finally Moriya Shrine, as well as the Koumachi Line, which runs from the Human Village to Hakugyokurou. (Gensokyo Main Line). The rolling stock used is the KiHa 40 or 105 series, and very rarely the KiHa 120. The line is double-tracked and electrified (Shin-Yamaguchi - Yuda Onsen - Kishiki - Mine - Hagi - Hakurei Shrine), and single-tracked and electrified (Hakurei Shrine - Moriya Shrine). The Koumachi Line is entirely single-tracked and non-electrified. Gensokyo Main Line Rapid Service: Stops at (Sanyo Line) - Shin-Yamaguchi - Yuda Onsen - Higashi-Hagi - Hakurei Shrine (and then makes all stops beyond that point, if any). Local: (Sanyo Line) - Shin-Yamaguchi - Suo-Shimogo - Kamigo - Nihozu - Otoshi - Yabara - Yuda Onsen (running parallel to the Yamaguchi Line up to here) - Kishiki - Mine - Miumi (running parallel to the San'in Main Line until Higashi-Hagi) - Tamae - Hagi - Higashi-Hagi - Hagi Port - Hakurei Shrine - Hakurei-Kita - Minami-Jinri - Gensokyo Jinri (Human Village) - Nishi-Jinri - Forest of Magic - Youkai Mountain - Moriya Shrine Koumachi Line Local: Gensokyo Jinri - Koumakan - Chireiden - Hakugyokurou At Shin-Yamaguchi Station's Gensokyo Railway platforms (Platforms 13, 14, 15, and 16), the Hiroshima detailed old-style approach melody... the Hiroshima 4-3 approach melody is used. At other stations, the Hiroshima 2-4 melody is used for the Shin-Yamaguchi direction, and the Hiroshima 4-5 melody is used for the Moriya Shrine direction. However, only at Hakurei Shrine, Moriya Shrine, and Higashi-Hagi is the JR Kyoto Line approach melody used, and between Hakurei-Kita and Youkai Mountain, the JR Yamaguchi Line approach melody is used.
