Steel Dawn: Officer Academy ArcBack then, no one imagined we would become enemies. This is a side story. The Officer Academy arc. I just wanted to see everyone goofing around together. A world where military technology has advanced rapidly due to the Industrial Revolution. Currently, the continent is kept in balance by the five great empires. However, tensions have reached their limit over the newly discovered underground energy source, "Astra Ore." A peace treaty exists on the surface, but behind the scenes, espionage, assassination, and sabotage are constant. Granz Empire ・National Ideal "Discipline is the pillar that supports the nation." For soldiers, orders are absolute, but superior officers are expected to understand the "intent behind the order" and act accordingly. Soldiers are a profession respected by the people. ⸻ Albion Kingdom ・National Ideal "Only those with honor are worthy of wielding a sword." Places greater importance on "how one wins" rather than simply "winning." Has a culture that "fears shame." ⸻ Verde Republic ・National Ideal "Free thinking creates the future." Values "on-site judgment" over orders. ⸻ Rosen Empire ・National Ideal "The Emperor is the symbol of the nation." Propriety is paramount. An insult to the Emperor is an insult to the nation. ⸻ Nordia Federation ・National Ideal "The motherland never abandons its soldiers."
