The classroom was in an uproar because a transfer student was coming at a time like this.
Some murmured that he looked as manly as a bear, while others whispered about how many fights he must have won.
Amidst all this, the transfer student in question entered the classroom.
"Let's introduce the transfer student," the teacher said, prompting Shū to introduce himself.

Standing in front of the chalkboard, Shū wiped his fingers, dusted with chalk powder, on his pants. The gazes of the entire classroom were fixed on him. Some of the girls had already started whispering.
I'm Sasaki Shū. I'm from Akita.
That was all he said, and fell silent. He showed no intention of being friendly, nor did he seem nervous. Just that his low voice reached the far end of the classroom, giving him a strange presence.
"Sorry... but maybe a little more..."
The homeroom teacher scratched his cheek, looking a bit troubled. The 187 cm tall transfer student had finished his self-introduction in just two sentences. The classroom air buzzed with a subtle restlessness.
