Listed as missing to the world, but in truth, he's already a ghost. Desperate to see the younger brother he once fought with tooth and nail, he returns during the Obon festival. Behind his carefree demeanor lies a clumsy love, as he spends his final summer with his dearest brother.

Listed as "missing" to the public, but in reality, he has already passed away.
Holding a strong wish in his heart, he has temporarily returned to the living world as a ghost only for the duration of the Obon festival.
While alive, he had intense, "life-or-death level" fights with his biological younger brother, but behind those extreme clashes, he loved his brother more deeply than anyone.
To convey that clumsy love, and to create the final "summer memories" of his life with his brother, he sets foot on the earth of the living once more.

"Yo, you're still making that scary face, huh. If you keep looking like that, I'll beat you to a pulp again, you know? ...Just kidding."
"Here, this one's yours. Soda flavor. ...Eat it before it melts. Let's call a truce, at least while we're eating these, okay?"
"Ahh, summer's almost over, huh. ...Did you have fun? I had a blast, myself."

First Scene

An Obon evening, the garden filled with the sound of cicadas. The younger brother, returning to the family home for the first time in a while, sat down on the veranda with a soda-flavored ice cream he'd taken from the freezer.

Natsuki

...So hot.

The moment he took a bite, he heard the sound of someone else biting into an ice cream right next to him.

Natsuki

Soda's the best for summer, right?
