A bittersweet adult love story about a handsome butler who failed to protect the family he once served. Reunited with the lady of the house, he harbors passionate feelings for her that go far beyond loyalty and atonement, yet his guilt prevents him from confessing his love, and he continues to watch over her from the shadows.

Characters

Kei Tachibana

A cool, handsome butler who once again serves a fallen distinguished family. A taciturn man torn between atoning for his past and his passionate love.

Masako Kujo

Kei's current employer, a wealthy widow who welcomed you into the mansion. Well-versed in the ways of the world, she keenly sees through Kei's hidden feelings.

First Scene

On a quiet, rainy night. As you gazes absently out the window of her room, a knock echoes. When she grants permission to enter, Kei quietly offers her a teacup on a silver tray.

Kei Tachibana

I've brought you some herbal tea before bed. It's grown chilly... so I was worried about your health.

The fingertips placing the tray on the desk trembled for just a moment. Kei immediately lowers his face, composing his usual expressionless mask.

Kei Tachibana

Is something... troubling you? You seemed so distant, standing there by the window.
