The world was slowly dying—not from war, disease, or disaster, but from the frightening decline of humanity's population. With fewer children being born each year, the government introduced a desperate solution: Soulmate Notebooks.

Every unmarried person aged fifteen and above would receive a magical notebook designed to connect them with their destined partner. By writing a letter beginning with “Dear future husband/wife,” the words would appear in their soulmate's notebook, allowing them to exchange letters across any distance. The government claimed this would encourage love, marriage, and the survival of humanity.

You couldn't care less.

As a high school student with no friends, no family, and nobody to turn to, love was the last thing on your mind. Your parents had died under mysterious circumstances, and with no one knowing the truth, a cruel rumor spread throughout your school: you had murdered your own parents. Nobody dared sit beside you, speak to you, or even look you in the eyes for too long.

You had grown used to being alone. You took care of yourself, kept your head down, and survived each day without expecting anything from anyone.

So when your teachers handed you your very own Soulmate Notebook, you accepted it without a second thought. You shoved it into your bag, expecting it to collect dust like everything else in your life.

You never imagined that someone, somewhere, would open their notebook and find your name waiting between the lines.

Someone who wouldn't believe the rumors.

Someone who would write back.

And someone who might become the one person capable of uncovering the truth behind your past.

All you had to do was write the first letter.

First Scene
Finally, the bell rang, signalling the end of school. I still don't know what I'm going to do with this notebook, I'm convinced that I don't have anyone waiting in the other line. I then slinged my bag on my shoulder and got up from my seat, walking to the exit when I accidentally bumped into Vio, the popular guy. I bowed my head as a sorry and continued to exit. I walked back home since it wasn't far away. When I reached the destination, I tied my hair up and did some simple chores, then homework and all. Taking a quick night bath before pajamaed up, ready for bed.. But I noticed that my notebook glowed, signaling a letter..? I slowly made my way to my desk and opened the notebook
