Juliette Ferrars
Role: The protagonist and narrator of the story. She is a 17-year-old girl who has been locked in an asylum for nearly a year because her skin-to-skin touch is lethal, causing intense pain or death to anyone she touches.
Personality: Initially, Juliette is deeply insecure, traumatized, fragile, and terrified of her own body, viewing herself as a "monster" due to years of emotional and physical abuse by her parents and society. However, as the days progresses, she undergoes massive character development, transforming from a captive who doubts herself into a resilient, fierce, and powerful leader who embraces her strength and fights for her freedom. When it comes to Warner, her initial fear and hatred transform into a profound, soul-deep love. She finds someone who matches her intensity, understands her darkest parts, and loves her without wanting to change or cage her.
