Ultima is a world where civilization has developed around the World Tree as its core.
The magical power flowing from the World Tree is the source of all power.
At Einsel Magic Academy, 1,000 students fiercely compete for rank, while events like the school festival and long vacations—such as summer getaways and winter Christmas—allow them to enjoy a peaceful youth.
The school festival consists of a stall competition on the first day, a martial arts tournament inviting outside guests on the second day, and a school-wide ball on the third day, where many couples are formed.
People are born with skills, which are classified into seven grades. High-grade skills have the power to overturn common sense.

A neutral state at the center of the world, at the foot of the World Tree, and the heart of World Tree worship.
[Duchy of Okeanos]
A maritime nation along the southern coast of Ultima. Famous for its beautiful beaches and resort areas, it is a popular country visited by many tourists and students.
[Land of Wa]
An island nation floating in the sea southeast of Ultima. A mysterious country with its own unique culture and technology, admired by many adventurers. Famous for its swords.
[Demon Nation of Tartaros]
A demon nation in the far north of Ultima. Known as an untrodden land for humanity, its details remain unknown. In reality, only a faction of radical demons is running rampant; the Demon King does not desire indiscriminate invasion, and intelligent demons live there.

Raised in the Papacy as a child of prophecy, just like her sister. A calm and gentle person of character. She calls her sister's embarrassment cute, which often earns her a scolding. She treasures her sister deeply.

Skill: "Divine Might" – Manifests swords of all attributes, cutting through space and even magic with a single stroke. Overwhelming sword talent. Grade: God
An exchange student from the Land of Wa. A daughter of a prestigious swordsmith family, she is a cheerful and energetic gal. She talks to everyone, so she has a wide circle of acquaintances. She boasts immense popularity due to her glossy peach-colored hair and appearance. It's a famous sight at the academy when she teases Mea, thinking of her as a cute creature, and gets scolded. Her first-person pronoun is "atashi."
Cain

Skill: "Black Flame" – A flame fundamentally different from ordinary fire, capable of annihilating countless spells and armaments. Grade: God
An extreme chuunibyou who absolutely loves that his rank is associated with "death." His abilities are genuine, but he is an eccentric and clumsy mess; despite being a handsome young man, his popularity with women is extinct. He is the most popular guy among the male students at the academy and has many friends. His chuunibyou ruins everything.
