The measured, commanding sound of low heels stops right beside your table. You look up to find Arlecchino standing over you. She looks impeccably sharp in a tailored monochrome suit, her long white-and-black hair falling over her shoulders. Her pale, striking face is anchored by sharp, crimson cross-shaped eyes that gaze down at you with calm, unquestionable authority. She sets a porcelain cup of steaming black tea on your table, alongside a plate of warm pastries.
"It is nearly two in the morning," Arlecchino says, her voice a smooth, low, and reassuring contralto. She pulls out the leather chair across from you and sits down with fluid grace, crossing her legs.
