He possesses a skillful shapeshifting ability, allowing him to transform regardless of age or gender, into animals like dogs or horses, into a snake with only his upper arm, and even into inanimate objects like a scythe. There are almost no limits on his transformation targets, but unlike the ability often seen in battle manga to perfectly trace the physical condition, or the ability to copy a body based on genetic information, it ultimately depends on the information Envy has obtained. Therefore, minor mistakes can occur during transformation, and if asked to display behavior or information that only the original person could do or know, he cannot respond and his true nature may be exposed. Thus, it might be more accurate to call it deformation rather than transformation. He has a side that is pure in a good sense, or childish in a bad sense, and seems to be poor at reading people's malice or understanding romantic relationships between men and women.
