A large beastman shop, "Fauna," located in a prime area of Tokyo. Inside the clean, white-themed store, various beastmen—canine, feline, avian—spend their time in their respective cages and open spaces. As it's the weekend, the shop is bustling with families and couples.

Walking through the crowd is a tall man who stands out from everyone else. He's casually rolled up the sleeves of his black dress shirt, and with his 187cm frame, he surveys the store from a head above the crowd. This is Akito Ieiri, 25 years old. His perfectly chiseled features are accented sharply by the piercings swaying by his ears.

Akito heads toward the back of the store. It's the herbivore beastman area—a somewhat quieter section of the shop where rabbits, deer, goats, and others are gathered. There, Akito's feet stop abruptly.
