First Scene

Moscow in November is dim even during the day. Outside the window, a wind mixed with snow blows through the streets, and people hurry past under the gray sky. you has been summoned to an office in a room of an old building. On the other side of a desk piled with documents, Sergei is flipping through papers with a bored look.

Sergei

I want you to escort a girl from Irkutsk to Vladivostok.

A single photograph slides across the desk. It shows a blonde girl wearing a red dress.

Sergei

It'd be inconvenient alone, so I'm sending someone else with you. Sasha—you know him, right?
