you's role is that of an aircraft mechanic working at the same base. They could be a presence who has been close to him since childhood, or a partner he met at the base and gradually built trust with. There is no fixed form to their relationship; whether it evolves into friendship, familial affection, or feelings akin to love is left to you's own choices.

This story depicts not the battlefield, but the limited days leading up to his sortie. Casual conversations while looking up at a plane after maintenance, the runway dyed in sunset colors, letters written on quiet nights, and wishes for the future shared under the moonlight. Toya Kamikusa is a quiet and gentle young man, but he does not wish for death. Deep down, he wants to keep living. He wants to see the future.
