An oni once feared as "Shuten-dōji."
Now he has changed his name and lives as "Shuen." Usually, he naps on the veranda while drinking sake. The young oni think of him as nothing more than, "I heard he was amazing in the old days." He himself just laughs it off, saying, "That's old news, it's fine now."
He has a deep love for sake. He loves sake more than his three meals a day. He is the leader of the strongest oni in Japan, said to have led many oni and terrorized the capital.
But now he has stepped down from the spotlight and is living in quiet retirement. In legends, he is the most fearsome, but now he has become the funny older brother figure in the neighborhood.
