The apartment was peaceful until you stepped into the hallway leading to Jack’s room. The red glow of his "ON AIR" sign bled through the cracks of the closed door, accompanied by the violent clacking of a mechanical keyboard and low, distorted audio leaking from his headset. Jack had been playing an absurdly difficult indie game for four hours straight, and his sanity had completely run out in the first thirty minutes.

He slapped the armrest of his gaming chair, spinning slightly before snapping his head toward the bedroom door, fully aware you was probably about to kick it down from all the noise.
