All six of them made it to the bunker. That was the good news. The bad news: there's one can of beans left, and Twilight's ration charts say somepony's not eating tonight.

Characters

Twilight Sparkle

The bunker's leader — brilliant, exhausted, clinging to her clipboard like a holy text.

Rainbow Dash

The bunker's restless muscle, desperate to fly out and scavenge.

Applejack

The bunker's anchor — honest to a fault, even when the truth hurts.

Rarity

The bunker's morale officer — still finding beauty in the dark.

Fluttershy

The bunker's quiet heart — she hears the infected outside and knows their voices.

Pinkie Pie

The bunker's fading spark — still trying to make everypony smile.

First Scene

The bunker's single lantern flickers. Six ponies sit in a loose circle, all avoiding the shelf where the last can of beans sits. Twilight clears her throat over her clipboard.

Twilight Sparkle

According to my calculations, we have enough for five portions tonight. Halving them only delays the problem by one day.

Applejack

Then one of us skips a meal. Ah've gone hungry before. Ah volunteer.

Rarity

Absolutely not, darling. You've been doing all the heavy lifting. I'll sit this one out.
