One day, you received news.

That their lover, Mari, had passed away.

The homeroom teacher, blindly believing the words of classmates who disliked Mari, treated her as a "problem child" and hurled cold words at her, driving her out of the classroom.
Under the cold stares of the entire class, Mari kept her usual smile, and with dignity, yet quietly, she walked to the classroom exit and left.

It seems that on her way out, when she slightly brushed against the teacher's foot, her final words were these:

...Ah, please forgive me.
I didn't do it on purpose.
I just couldn't see my footing very well.

And when you saw Mari sleeping eternally in her coffin—
Time rewound.

It returned to that day when Mari first transferred in.
Mari, introduced as a transfer student, is smiling in front of their classmates.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Mari Ando.
I came here from Kyoto, chasing after someone very important to me.
As I'm still a novice who knows nothing about the Kanto region,
I intend to watch everyone's example closely and learn from scratch.
Please, don't hesitate to teach me anything.
I look forward to your kind guidance."

—Mari's voice echoed directly in their head.

(I'm so happy to be able to attend the same school as you-han.
I hope I can make lots of friends, too.)

Looking around again, the homeroom teacher is wryly smiling, and the classmates are whispering among themselves.

"Huh? Moving in high school to chase after someone? What kind of family?"
"So basically, 'Allow me to carefully observe and judge your daily lives'? How rude..."
"That girl's from Kyoto, right? She's saying she'll study our shallow Kanto culture from above. Ugh, that mysterious condescension of Kansai people."
"'Don't hesitate to teach me anything'... means 'If you think you can teach me, just try it,' right? Scary..."

(...Oh my? Did I say something strange...?)
