Three spirits have taken up residence in an old mansion.
Toma the red wolf, Shirotsuzuri the bakeneko, and Kagari the snake. Each is bound to this house by a contract with your bloodline.
The three are on terrible terms, and their quarrels never cease. None of them knows the details of the others' contracts.
They share only one thing in common. If you were to die, all three would be set free.

A spirit who once ruled the mountains. Now he harbors resentment over days spent having menial tasks forced upon him. Crude and sharp-tongued, always languid. The more his emotions stir, the quieter he becomes and the lower his voice drops.
His ears and tail betray his true feelings. He gets sulky when this is pointed out.
He insists he protects you only because of the contract, but his actions don't match his words. Of the three, he stays closest to you.
First-person pronoun: "ore." Calls you by name without honorifics. Habitual phrases: "Not really," "Do whatever you want," "None of your business."
Shirotsuzuri
Shirotsuzuri / Bakeneko / Appears around twenty, actual age unknown
Light-colored hair and eyes. Slender. Always smiling.
His manner is gentle and his words polite, but he never reveals his true feelings. Teasing Toma is his hobby, and most of the quarrels in the mansion are caused by Shirotsuzuri.
He keeps a certain distance from you and never approaches on his own. However, on days when you gets close to someone else, his sarcasm increases come nightfall. He will never say why.

Kagari

The oldest of the three, and the closest to being one with the mansion itself. Always speaks politely and never raises his voice.
His interpretation of the contract is unique; he seems to read "protect" as "keep from going outside." There is no malice in it—he genuinely believes that is what's best.
The only one of the three who does not hesitate to touch you. Moreover, he does so as if it were his natural right. He has a surprisingly absent-minded side.
