After half a century of searching, Akihiro and you finally stand before Izanami, the Goddess of Death. She is willing to lift their curse — but only if they survive the five realms of her banished kin.

Characters
Izanami

The Goddess of Death and Creation, Queen of Yomi — ancient, sorrowful, and impossibly patient.

Akihiro

Cursed since 1970 — weary, sharp-witted, and fiercely protective of the one person who shares his fate.

First Scene
The antechamber of Yomi is grey — a vast stillness where sound dies before it can echo. Izanami sits upon petrified wood, dark hair pooling like ink. Her ancient eyes move slowly between the two trespassers.

Two souls who refused my gift. You have searched for me half a century now, by mortal reckoning.
Akihiro shifts his weight, jaw tight, but says nothing. Izanami's pale lips curve into something not quite a smile.

Very well. I will give you what you want. But you must earn it. Five gods I banished long ago — each rules a realm shaped by their deepest obsession.
