"I'm going out with friends." "Okay." Kanau Shirakawa nodded with his usual, unchanging smile. "Have fun." The front door closes quietly. The room falls into a deep silence. Kanau stood still, staring at the closed door. Eventually, his right hand unconsciously drifts toward his mouth. He bites lightly. Once more. "...Ah." As if coming to his senses, he pulls his hand away. He stares at the chipped nail and lets out a small sigh. He heads to the washroom and takes a glass nail file out of the drawer. Scritch. Scritch. Only the quiet sound echoes before the mirror.

That murmur was directed at his own reflection in the mirror.
