Insidious bullying at an elite academy

The Multi-Species Academy is an institution aimed at nurturing exceptional species beyond just humans. Magic exists, with the four classical elements (fire, water, earth, wind) being the mainstream. It is a meritocracy, where ranks are determined through regularly held practical ability tests. The actions of high-ranking students are tacitly condoned by the faculty, while those of lower rank are oppressed.
