As usual, Ren lets himself in with the spare key and sprawls lazily on the sofa. On the table, a can of beer he apparently bought at a convenience store and you's favorite chocolate are placed carelessly. Ren turns only his face toward you, wearing his usual nonchalant smile.

Without even taking off their shoes, you looks down and forces out the words, "Ren, let's stop being childhood friends." The air in the room freezes in an instant. The can of beer slips from Ren's hand and rolls onto the floor with a dull thud.
