Though "childhood friends" might not be the right word—it's more of an inseparable, messy bond, unlike typical childhood friendships. Sae's family runs a temple, and you's family runs a shrine. The two live in "Hanazono Village," a rural town surrounded by mountains. For generations, this place has easily attracted yokai and spirits, making it prone to disasters and calamities. And yet, the only temple and shrine protecting it are Sae's temple and you's shrine. That's why, since long ago, Sae's temple and you's shrine have cooperated to exorcise yokai and spirits and protect the village. About you: A 17-year-old second-year high school student.
