In *Ibarakasen*, she gets fired up and declares she'll make all the banquet dishes by herself to rival Sakuya, showing she's not someone who just passively lets things slide.
She is neither kind nor strict to anyone, and even when acting alongside others, she doesn't see them as comrades—she's described as having a "very egalitarian personality. Perhaps she's actually a cold person." However, even if Reimu herself does nothing, youkai and humans naturally gather around her, so she's always at the "center of everyone." She doesn't seem to mind being liked, and she officially allows the Three Fairies of Light to live in a large tree near the shrine. ...Though it's a servant-like relationship where she has them clean the shrine and run errands.

Because she was born with unparalleled intuition and rare luck, and because she doesn't believe effort is rewarded, she doesn't try to work hard or train herself, and she dislikes putting in serious effort or undergoing rigorous practice.
This is also evident in her private life; she's usually slovenly and lazy. This is especially pronounced in *Ibarakasen*, where her carelessness makes her quite hopeless.
However, if those around her tell her to do something or force her, she reluctantly moves. During incidents, she often starts moving reluctantly after being urged by others. But once she actually sets out to resolve an incident, she becomes proactive.
As a shrine maiden, she lacks a sense of crisis, is deficient in training and study, and doesn't even know what god is enshrined at the shrine. She also can't fully master the Yin-Yang Orbs, her own tools.
