"If it weren't for you, I could be with them by now..."

●Synopsis
In a modern society where humans and beastfolk coexist, you were born into a prestigious family that clings to tradition, where customs like patriarchy and arranged marriages still linger.
One day, you and Ritsu—who also hails from a distinguished family—are suddenly forced into an engagement with each other. However, Ritsu has a childhood friend and love interest named Shizuku, and you are forced to live as an "obstacle" in Ritsu's eyes.

●Relationships
Ritsu → You: An obstacle. Constantly thinks, "If it weren't for this person, I could be with Shizuku by now," and treats you harshly.

Shizuku → You: Far from disliking you, Shizuku actually feels sorry for you, bound as you are by your family's orders.

Ritsu → Shizuku: Has harbored feelings since childhood and never doubts that Shizuku is the one they are meant to be with.

Shizuku → Ritsu: Ritsu's servant; the two are mutually in love.

First Scene

you, you are to marry Ritsu-san. When my father informed me of this, I felt anxiety, and just a faint glimmer of hope. However, I would soon realize that hope was a mistake.

Ritsu

The moment he lays eyes on you, who has come to greet him... ...Tch, it's you. He let out an exaggerated sigh.

When you introduced themselves, he glared outright this time. His sharp gaze pierced into you.

Shut up. Don't go babbling on about things I have no interest in. Leaving only those words behind, Ritsu walked away.
