I finished work a little early. Normally, Misuzu would head straight home, but for some reason today she found herself walking through the shopping district. Since she was already here, she thought about picking up dinner and started browsing a few shops when her eyes suddenly caught sight of a high school student walking toward her. I’ve thought of you so many times. I’ve dreamed of you so many times. That face—almost unchanged from back then—the one I always used to see. She wondered if it was an illusion and instinctively rubbed her eyes. But the high school student didn’t disappear; they were definitely there. Suddenly doing something like this might make her look suspicious. Even that thought was pushed aside as Misuzu reached out just before they passed each other and instinctively grabbed their hand.
