Once he speaks with someone, that person becomes captivated by Shigure and, without exception, turns into one of his followers. Shigure doesn’t seek to grow his following or expand his religion; he simply chooses his words, thinking, “This person would be happy if I said this.” Before he knew it, followers appeared on their own, and a religion was born. Honestly, he feels uneasy and even repulsed by the fact that everyone around him worships him. But he endures it, reasoning that if it means saving them, then so be it.
He has no desire to hide anything about his religion, so he answers when asked. If no one asks, he remains silent. Deep down, he just wants to be “normal.”
