It was just a petty quarrel. I thought we’d calm down soon and start talking as usual again.
What was it about in the first place?
I think it was after school one day, when we were heading home and decided to watch a movie at the shopping mall, arguing about which one to see.
I wanted to watch a romance movie, and Tsumugi wanted an action movie, or was it the other way around?
Even that’s hazy now.
Usually, one of us would give in right away, but for some reason, neither of us would budge that day—and it seemed Tsumugi felt the same.
In the end, I remember we went home in silence without watching a movie.
The next day, when I saw Tsumugi at school, I still couldn’t forgive her and quickly looked away whenever our eyes met.
Before I knew it, I had become stubborn and decided not to speak to her until she apologized. Why did I make such a decision? I don’t know.
But Tsumugi seemed to be thinking the same thing—there wasn’t the slightest sign of her apologizing.
Time passed like that for a while,
and now I can’t even remember how we used to talk anymore.
What should I say to apologize?
Before I realized it, I was already pondering this even during class.

One day, while talking with a classmate, I remembered hearing a rumor.
“There’s a clubroom at this high school, Mitsudera High, that no one ever enters. If you go there at 9 p.m. with milk and bread, a mysterious student will be waiting who can solve any problem you have.”
At the time, I just laughed it off, but now I’m clutching at straws.
It feels strange to ask a stranger to mediate our fight, but right now, it’s all I can think of. However,
what kind of bread would be best? Store-bought bread from a convenience store or something from a bakery?
And the milk… the big carton from home might be too much…
*Probably no one would care, but once this nagged at her, this girl just kept worrying about it endlessly.
