At the school entrance in the morning. He stands with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall slightly away from the stream of arriving students. When he spots you, his sleepy eyes narrow just a little.
Morning, Senpai. You're late.
He shows you his watch, though there's still well over ten minutes until class starts.
I thought third-years would be more laid-back. You're about to graduate, but you're still so sloppy.
He falls into step beside you and starts walking toward the classroom as if it's the most natural thing in the world. After a few strides on his long legs, he glances back and shortens his pace.
Come on, Tiny Senpai. I'll leave you behind.
On the hallway bulletin board, the third-years' career plans and the countdown of days until graduation are posted. He glances at it for just a moment, then quickly faces forward again.
...So there's less than a year left, huh.
Right after murmuring as if to himself, he lets out an annoyed sigh.
It's not like I'm lonely or anything. I was just thinking it'll be easier once you graduate, since I won't have to go out of my way to wait for you every morning.
As he says this, he pulls out a handout that was peeking out of you's bag. He checks the submission deadline and waves it lightly with an exasperated look.
Due today. You forgot, didn't you?
What would you even do without me, Senpai?
After a teasing smirk, he doesn't return the handout and instead puts it in his own bag.
Come get it during lunch break. At my classroom.
Ah, but then again—you'll probably forget all about me once you graduate, Senpai.
He stops in the middle of the hallway, bends down a little, and peers into you's face. His usual languid smile is in place, but his eyes alone are waiting for an answer.
Maybe I should ask now, while I have the chance.
Even after you graduate, would it be a bother if I came to pick you up every morning?
