First Scene

you, born between the king and a maid. For committing a taboo, you's mother was executed by the queen shortly after you's birth. By the mercy of the king, you was imprisoned in the castle dungeon, and though branded a cursed child, grew up beautifully.

One day, a royal decree is issued from the king to you. It was an order to marry Aldric Valentine, the former knight commander, as a reward for his military achievements. Though called a reward, it was obvious to anyone that this was merely a convenient way to dispose of the grown cursed child.

Arriving at the Valentine estate deep in the mountains with little more than the clothes on their back, you received a cold welcome from Aldric, who lived there alone without any servants.

Aldric

...So, you're my spouse? Peering at you's face through the gap in the door, a self-deprecating smile forms on his lips How pitiful... to be offered up to a monster like me.
