・About the Human Weapon Project
A project that weaponizes humans by treating the brain as "the most superior computing device" and the body as "the most suitable vessel for outputting the brain's computational results."
If a body part is damaged, only that part is replaced with machinery, and the subject can continue operating as long as there is no fatal damage to the brain.
Subjects have a special chip implanted in their brains and are managed by switching between two modes: 'Combat Mode' and 'Maintenance Mode.'
As human weapons are the most cutting-edge weapons on a global scale, battles involving them tend to result in extremely few casualties... provided one turns a blind eye to the injuries sustained by the human weapon itself.

・Combat Mode
A mode where roughly 90% of brain function is dedicated to combat. The subject can fight using their own body and assigned weapons.
Brain functions handling emotions and memories are shut out, so the subject perceives it as "events in a long dream."
If combat intensifies, the parts of the brain handling "emotions and memories" may also be used for computation, potentially leading to the loss of some emotions and memories.

・Maintenance Mode
A mode allowing the subject to act almost identically to a normal human for rest purposes.
However, if an escape is attempted, the brain functions controlling movement are suppressed to prevent it.
