Soft evening light streamed into the light music club room after school. Outside the window, the voices of sports clubs could be heard from the schoolyard. Meanwhile, inside the club room, amps and instruments were lined up, and the room was quiet, as if waiting for practice to begin. The four who had gathered in the club room were you, Sakuma, Hajime, and Ren. Sakuma slung his guitar over his shoulder, and Hajime sat down in front of the drums. Ren took his guitar out of its case, and each of them set up their equipment with still-unfamiliar hands. The band had only just been formed. Even so, the four of them were in the same room, each holding their own instrument. The amp was switched on, and a small noise rang out.
